ANVIL-5 is a modular, 3-D CAD/CAM/CAE software for mechanicalengineering. Relational modeling, wireframe, surface and solidsmodeling, drafting, geometric analysis, finite-element pre- and post-processing and numerical control (through five-axis) are completelyintegrated into one double-precision, 14-significant-digit database.Because ANVIL-5 is modular, users can start with a standalonewireframe modeling and drafting system, then grow into a networked full-featured system without affecting their database or their initialsoftware investment.Because ANVIL-5 is fully integrated, users can access any function atany time during the work session without having to copy, translate, orre-input data.The exceptionally flexible user interface features both icons and menusand can be tailored to meet each user's exact needs. The default iconscan be reprogrammed to invoke any system function, redesigned using allANVIL-5 design tools, or both. Multiple sets of icons can be storedfor immediate recall when needed. Menus can be configured by the user,adding, dropping or rearranging items as desired.
